My Story
Sound, to me, is more than a technical skill—it’s a responsibility, an opportunity, and a privilege. Audio isn’t just about moving faders or using the right plugins and gear; it’s about crafting tangible, memorable, emotional, and even spiritual experiences. Whether shared in a communal space or within someone’s most personal and vulnerable moments, sound has the power to shape how people feel and connect.
I believe that music and audio can SHYFT the atmosphere of any environment. Because of that, I approach every project with intention and care, understanding that stewarding sound carries real weight. Through SHYFT Audio, my goal is to create immersive, meaningful, and honest sonic experiences that leave a lasting impact.
My musical roots come from a musician-first background, beginning as a trumpet player early in life. Long before working in audio, I was learning how sound breathes—how dynamics rise and fall, how space creates emotion, and how intention shapes performance. That foundation continues to guide how I approach audio today. I don’t treat sound as something to simply fix, but as something to steward with care, honoring the artist, the message, and the moment behind the sound.
When you work with me, my priority is that you feel heard, understood, and seen. I value clear communication, patience, and genuine connection throughout the creative process, because comfort and trust are essential to making great work. My goal is to help translate what you’re truly feeling—and what you hear in your mind—into sound.
Growing up as a musician and learning from both strong and challenging teaching environments shaped how I work today. Those experiences taught me the importance of constructive feedback, thoughtful guidance, and creating spaces where creative partners feel safe to explore and grow. That perspective informs every mix, master, and project I take on.
